Nick Webb

Managing Director

Nick has been with P W White Partners for 30 years, continuing the traditions of excellent customer-focused service set down by our founding directors, Peter and Pam White, from whom Nick took over 15 years ago. In addition to his role as Director, Nick is both a qualified Financial Adviser and General Insurance Adviser, although in more recent years the latter is largely managed by Ashley and the General Insurance Team. Nick particularly enjoys developing and maintaining ongoing client relationships, some of which almost stretch back to the start of the business in 1968.

Originally from Little Chalfont, Nick remains active in the community in Amersham, as a regular participant in the Rotary Club and various charitable efforts focused on the local Amersham area.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys providing coaching to the Junior team at his local cricket club, photography and has been avid follower of a certain Premier League football team for many years.

Ashley Simmons

General Insurance Manager

Ashley joined us in 1997 and is our longest serving staff member. He heads up our General Insurance Team and whilst he is a fount of all knowledge General Insurance, these days he specialises more in Commercial Insurance (Liability, Fleet, Professional Indemnity, Combined and Office to name a few). He is also our resident IT wizard and is the first one we go to with any IT problems, hopefully once we have remembered to switch it off and switch it one again . .
Outside of the office Ash is a big 1980s music fan (and a self proclaimed die hard Kylie fan) and a huge car fan, with a long standing loyalty to Ford’s and Volkswagen.

He can also be seen sometimes cruising around the countryside with his wife in his Mercedes campervan – which he actually won through a television phone in competition!

The most valuable lessons Ash learnt during lockdown was that it is possible to survive without eating out and takeaways. In recent years Ash and his wife have fallen in love with cruise holidays and although they did have to cancel one due to the pandemic, they are hopeful this is something they will be able to start doing again in the near future.

Alice Walton

Financial Services Manager

Alice’s Financial Services career originally began in Leeds, joining P W White Partners in 2006. Over this period Alice’s role and responsibilities have evolved, as Alice is now our Financial Services Manager, who in addition to managing the numerous Compliance requirements that regulated firms are subject to, also works alongside Kit and Scott to provide ongoing support to our advisers. Alice enjoys the challenge of a dynamic regulatory environment, preferably with a large cup of coffee (white, no sugar).

Outside of the office, Alice is an early-riser and often manages to fit in a combination of running or yoga before her two boys are even up. In rare moments of relaxation, Alice enjoys some guilty pleasure television and a cocktail.

Kit Durey

Financial Services Paraplanner

Kit has been a member of the P W White & Partners team since 2013, joining us after completing a History Degree at Durham University and a long period of volunteering at Chiltern Open Air Museum. Since joining us, Kit has completed the ‘Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning’ and now works as a Paraplanner. A Paraplanner is a very jargony word which most people have never heard of, but it is at its essence a role which provides technical support to Nick.

Kit enjoys the challenge and diversity in his role and looks forward to developing skills across all areas in Financial Services. He basically wants to be a walking, talking Financial Services encyclopedia and we’re pleased to say that he’s not too far off achieving that.

Outside of the office, Kit splits his time between the pottery wheel, where he makes off-balance cups and wobbly bowls, running table-top roleplaying games for his friends (feel free to ask – we had no idea what these were either!) and looking after his new puppy, Eddie.

During lockdown Kit has learnt to drive, worked on extending his repertoire of vegan meals and ruined the lawn at home by taking his daily walks in a circle around his garden!

Kit came to us with no knowledge or experience in Financial Services and has grown over the years to be a key integral part of our team. You may not have spoken to him before but you can bet that whenever you receive something from us he has been involved in it somewhere along the way.

Karen Kempton

Account Executive

Karen joined the P W White team in December 2014 following a return from living in Birmingham for three years.

Karen has been involved in the insurance industry since 1986 (too long!) when she worked in Accounts and had to learn the insurance side of the business to solve accounts problems and went on from there.  She has been involved in both commercial and personal insurance but prefers the personal side of the industry and particularly home and travel insurance.

Away from the office Karen always has a book to read and loves that she can now carry her entire library around with her on her kindle (500 books and counting…).  Five grandchildren (four of them teenagers) keep her busy baking cakes.

Stacey Vivian

Account Executive

After a complete career change from social care, Stacey joined the general insurance team in 2016 where she works alongside Karen and is mainly focused on personal lines insurance. Having just returned from maternity leave, Stacey is enjoying getting back into the swing of having a normal working routine and not one revolving around naps and feeds (the baby’s, not hers!). In her spare time, you can usually find Stacey curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea, bar of chocolate and a good crime novel, failing that, she’ll be shopping! During lockdown, some people liked to use the time to exercise or try to eat healthily but not Stacey, instead, she had many, many barbeques in the garden taking full advantage of the good weather (one of the only upsides to having to stay home). Although Stacey didn’t quite live up to her childhood dream of becoming a princess ballerina, she really enjoys her job and looks forward to speaking to you should you need a quote or any assistance with your insurance needs.

Kobi Safo

Account Executive

Kobi is the newest member of the insurance team, he previously worked as an Insurance Advisor, dealing mainly with Motor Vehicle policies for nearly 2 years and brings in his experience and knowledge from this role. In 2019 he graduated from Buckinghamshire New University with a degree in Business Management. At P W White, Kobi deals with the Commercial Insurance (Liability, Fleet, Professional Indemnity, Combined and Office etc.) side of the business.

Outside of work, Kobi spends a lot of time out in the nature and likes going on hiking trips. He also has a big passion for electronic dance music and finds himself spending hours crate digging for new records and attending concerts/festivals.

Lynda Whelan

Office Assistant

Lynda joined us in 2013, working 3 afternoons a week as a typist.
Since then Lynda’s role has widened and she now provides additional support to both the Financial Services and General Insurance teams.
Outside of work Lynda has a busy social life and is a frequent visitor to her local gym. She also has 2 young grandchildren who she loves spending time with.
During the first lockdown Lynda was invaluable to the business as she was the one who popped in to work every day to deal with anything that needed to be done in the office.
